Among them is former Buckeyes quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who gave his thoughts on who he would have preferred to replace Meyer.Speaking to TMZ Sports this past week, Pryor nominated former Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel as the man best-suited to replace Meyer.“We need to get Jim Tressel back,” Pryor tells TMZ Sports.Video of the interview, via TMZ:Tressel accumulated seven Big Ten conference titles and a national title during his ten years at Ohio State.He now serves as President of Youngstown State University, where he previously coached football from 1986 to 2000.It’s a potentially controversial opinion to be sure, especially considering the role Pryor had in the scandal that eventually forced Tressel to resign.Pryor was one of several players on the Ohio State football team that was suspended prior to the 2011 season for exchanging memorabilia for free tattoos.The NCAA accused Tressel of lying about his knowledge of the memorabilia exchange, and he resigned before the 2011 season.Following Tressel’s resignation, the NCAA vacated all of his wins from the 2010 season and imposed a brief bowl ban.[TMZ Sports]last_img
