first_imgAustralian Men’s 50’s players, Len Ryan and Mark Hearnden, have told www.touchfootball.com.au about their World Cup tour so far. Len Ryan:A very rewarding experience yesterday visiting a couple of community aged care centres, very proud of my teammates showing lots of care, affection and attention towards our senior citizens. Our congratulations and appreciation goes out to TFA for a fantastic and well organised night where Matt Shirvington MC’d brilliantly and showed a lot of passion toward our sport.Big congratulations to a couple of teammates, a great reward for your contributions. Dean McManus being awarded the Ron Hanson Medal for the Flag Bearing duties and Greg Young inducted into the Hall Of Fame. Also another milestone with our Coach Mick McCall representing with his three daughters, Carlie, Melissa and Jess across the Women’s Open and 27’s Division.Mark Hearnden This morning’s visit to two nursing homes in Coffs Harbour was an experience that I will remember fondly for years to come. It makes me very proud of this sport to see it mature to such a stage that it considers such activities to be ‘business as usual’ to give back to the local community. It was wonderful to spend a couple of hours with the residents of these homes and to share morning tea. There were plenty of cuddles, hugs and even some dancing. Congratulations to TFA and to my fellow team mates.Keep up-to-date with all of the latest news and information from the Australian teams at the 2015 Touch World Cup:Website – www.touchfootball.com.auFacebook – www.facebook.com/touchfootballaustraliaTwitter – www.twitter.com/touchfootyaus (#TWC2015)Instagram – www.instagram.com/touchfootballaustralia Related Links2015 World Cuplast_img
