Conway Gray walked out of the High Court a free man on Tuesday after a 12-member jury found him not guilty of raping a 3-year-old girl back in 2015.The ruling was handed down by Justice Jo Ann Barlow after he was found not guilty by 10 of the jurors.It is alleged that Gray, on June 19, 2015, raped the child. He was represented by Attorney-at-Law Maxwell McKay while the case was prosecuted by Seeta Bishundial.In giving the ruling, Justice Barlow told the accused that he was being given another chance and as such, should stay away from the court environment.Meanwhile, he advised the prosecution to continue to provide support for the victim since she is of age to understand what had transpired in court.
It appears that Donegal is certainly on a ‘winning streak’ when it comes to appearing on RTE’s lottery gameshow.Agnes McLaughlin from Carndonagh, recently won €45,000, including a car, on the National Lottery Winning Streak Game Show on RTE, on Saturday 12 April 2014.Another two people were chosen to appear on the show when their names were picked out by presenter Marty Morrissey on Saturday night last.Both Frances Brennan from Railway Park, Donegal Town and Daniel McLaughlin form the Isle of Doagh will appear on the show next Saturday. Both have chance to walk away with a cool €1 million if they spin the wheel.They are the latest in a long line of players from Donegal to appear on the show.Only recently three of the five people chosen for one of the shows hailed from Donegal.
