PREMIERE: Head For The Hills Debuts Video For “Bitter Black Coffee” Off Their Upcoming Album

first_imgOn May 12th, Head for the Hills, the Colorado newgrass quartet, will release their latest album, Potions and Poisons. The album will be the group’s fourth studio album following the 2013 release of Blue Ruin. The group, composed of Adam Kinghorn (Guitar), Joe Lessard (Violin), Matt Loewen (Bass), and Sam Parks (Mandolin), has just released a brand new music video for “Bitter Black Coffee,” a track off the upcoming Potions and Poisons.“Bitter Black Coffee,” which was written by Head for the Hills’ Adam Kinghorn, and its accompanying video is a mournful, longing ode to regretful nights with former flames and their repercussions come sunrise. The video for this latest release by Head for the Hills is shot in black and white and features shots of a man alone at a table, filmed from overhead, as time throughout the day passes; the members of Head for the Hills playing the wistful song together; and the woman who’s clearly on the man’s mind. The gritty video was directed by bassist Matt Loewen and produced by the band, making them the artistic force behind both the song and the moving video that evokes film noir in its stylings. You can check out the Live For Live Music’s video premiere of Head for the Hill’s “Bitter Black Coffee” below along with the lyrics from the song. Pre-sale for Potions and Poisons ends this Friday, May 4th, ahead of its May 12th release so make sure to order your copy now here. Fans should also mosey over to the band’s website to get more information about the group, including upcoming tour dates. Trump, GOP are ruining our country

first_imgCategories: Letters to the Editor, Opinion This assault to cover up corruption comes with the support of an equally corrupt Republican Congress and spineless party leadership, which is bereft of any notion of public trust. So fire someone, and let this nation decide whether we are worthy of democracy or would prefer the corruption of King Trump. Let our “friends,” the Russians, continue their collusion. This is itself an act of treason, my friends. Note that to date no action has been taken by Congress or Trump to address Russian cyberhacking and penetration of U.S. cyberspace.Trump is a racist with no patriotism (Remember his rant on a Gold Star mother whose son was killed in Iraq) who now calls for a military parade — just like Putin or any other tin pot despot. But there’s no call for any action on national security (CIA, NSA, FBI, etc.), and Trump has mocked those who have rendered service in defense of this nation. This is an abject betrayal of every American who values decency and truth from his government instead of the cover-up tactics, lies and other efforts to twist and polarize the truth that have discredited us globally.Save our nation. Vote out every Trump Republican stooge in Congress this November.George W. Our constitutional democracy is under assault from “King” Trump and his corrupt minions, who question the integrity, purpose and dedication to the rule of law of the very government institutions responsible for the protection, safety and security of the United States.last_img read more
